Next my home office!!!

If you want to follow suit but are not sure where to begin, send me your email address and I will forward to you some quick tips on organizing!

Handling change!

WOW! Christmas is done for another year and I have to say that I am feeling rather relieved. It is so exciting - the 2 weeks prior and then all in one day done!

I will admit I do like my routines, thats not to say I don't welcome change, I do. What makes change easier for me is the day to day routines I hang on to and come back to during the process of change. I like to drink tea so while I am making a change in my life I will always find time to stop and have a cup of tea. It kind of regroups my thoughts and actions and fuels the change. It works for me and if you have something that you embrace while you make changes to your life I would love to hear them.

So all I have to say is welcome back Normal life, I have missed you!

Christmas shopping!

Happy Ho Ho Ho everyone!

OMG! (my son cringes everytime I use these texting terms)

I went to the mall the other day to finish my shopping, what I saw was alot of stressed out people rushing about. I used to enjoy going to a mall and watching everyone hurrying about while Christmas music played in the background, sipping on my hot cocoa. Things have sure changed.

I was trying to figure out why it didn't feel as joyful as I remembered a few years back, so the organizer in me came up with a thought that perhaps its because everywhere they go all they see is STUFF! That perfect gift that we imagine giving to our loved ones every year was no where to be found. We all know what is going to happen to the stuff we give so lovingly at Christmas, it will probably become clutter.

I am fortunate at Christmas, because half of my family lives in another province so we have long ago made an agreement to send gift cards to my two neices favorite place to shop. We are all happy this way and the gift I give them ends up being what they want so it hopefully doesnt become clutter (at least as quickly).

If you are stuck trying to figure out what to get your loved ones that already seem to have everything, consider an experience gift. These type of gifts work out really well as they promote the best kind of gift- time with each other.

Here is a list of experience gifts you may want to consider:

Seasons pass to the zoo

Tickets to an upcoming play

Movie tickets

Gift card to a favorite restaurant

I hope these suggestions spark your imagination.

HAPPY SHOPPING AND MERRY CHRISTMAS
